Description
Figueres' municipal theatre, located on Josep Pla square. The building has been used as a performance venue since 1916, when opera companies performed there and film screenings were held, and by the 1920s it was already the city's main theatre. The Town Council bought it in 1983 and, after renovation, reopened it as a theatre in 1991. It seats more than 500 spectators and hosts theatre, music, dance and film programmes. Since 2023 it has been one of the venues of the Temporada Alta festival. It has reserved spaces for wheelchair users and guide dogs are welcome.
